Utility EV Time of Use rates

Utility customers who drive an electric vehicle may be able to sign up for an Electric Vehicle Time-of-Use (EV-TOU) rate and receive lower rates for charging their vehicle during off-peak hours. You plug your car in when you get home, and it automatically starts charging at midnight or whatever time you set. Charging during super-off-peak window ensures that you will pay the lowest rate possible to charge your car.

Aerovironment to show TurboCord at ECGD

AeroVironment will show their next-generation EV Charger dubbed TurboCord at the Electric Car Guest Drive. The portable EV charger has the capability to connect to either 120v or 240v residential outlets. When plugged into a 240v outlet, the TurboCord will charge nearly 3x as fast as the standard cordset provided with most EVs.

The EVoReel cord management system manufactured by EVoCharge will be available for inspection at the Electric Car Guest Drive. The significant feature of this product is the retractable cord reel that is similar to the pneumatic hose reels you use when putting air in your tires. It also extends your EVSE cord up to 30 feet, so if you need to charge 2 EVs, or charge an EV in the driveway outside your garage, you can easily do it.

ClipperCreek will be displaying their new HCS-60, a powerful and rugged 48 Amp charge station station, and the LCS-25, a low cost and portable charge cord at the Electric Car Guest Drive in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. The 240Volt, level 2 electric vehicle charging stations are rated for both indoor and outdoor use. Sunspeed Pacific Coast SunTrail Route

Sunspeed Enterprises is building the Pacific Coast SunTrail Route, a series of EV charging hubs along California’s rural Hwy 1 from Eureka to Malibu. The first hub was established in Pt. Reyes Station. Each hub has a 480V DC fast charger, a 220V medium speed charger, run off renewable energy, and will be located at towns, resorts, inns, and restaurants where drivers can refresh while their EVs recharge.
